As announced in Canada's Economic Action Plan, the Federal
Government will invest $1 billion to renovate and energy retrofit
social housing to help vulnerable Canadians with needed
improvements to their homes while creating spin off jobs in
construction and other industries. This will improve the quality of
life for residents of these communities by keeping their homes safe
and affordable and it will ensure these homes will continue to be
available to meet the needs of future generations.
