Housing Works is a new employment and training program available
to Capital Region Housing Corporation Community Housing
Tenants.
We're here to help participants to set goals, overcome barriers
to employment and plan for the future.
How can this program help me?
You will be connected with an Outreach Support Worker through
one of our four partner agencies. They will then assist you with
creating employment related goals for the future as well as
addressing any barriers to those goals.
The Outreach Support Worker will provide you with training
opportunities and resources and provide encouragement while
supporting you on the road to becoming self sufficient.
Am I eligible for this program?
To qualify, applicants must be Community Housing Tenant.
Applicants must be able to be employed full time, willing to
attend training and other opportunities, and have a desire to
become self-sufficient.
What else should I know?
Housing Works is an employment and training program made
available through the support of Municipal Affairs and Human
Services.
Capital Region Housing has partnered with four Community Based
Organizations to provide quality training, resources and
support.
Supports Available
Participants will be able to access a variety of employment
related resources and supports in the areas of:
- Employment and Training
- Resume writing and job search skills
- Credit counseling, budgeting and financial literacy
- Landlord and tenant information
- Health and wellness
- Home Ownership
